I think the easiest and most effective way to track your progress is to see how your clothes fit you.
I suggest you keep some clothes from where you were in your best shape and then try them every week.
Another great way is to see how people comment about you.
If you receive organic comments and compliments, you will know you are on the right track.
Especially from your mum.
Mums always tell the truth.
