How many times should you chew your food?

Nutrition

Chewing is one, if not the most important, part of digestion.

Digestion starts in the mouth with the action of an enzyme called amylase.

And another important part is to chew the food until it is in its liquid state.

Food badly chewed will ferment and create gas.

The number of times that you should chew changes because if the food is dehydrated and crunchy, it will require more chewing than a soup and so on.

The rule should be only to swallow your food when it is liquid inside your mouth.
