So can exercise help you with anxiety?
The answer is yes, and no.
It all has to do with the right intensity.
If exercise is overly done, it will contribute to anxiety.
The reason for it is that do with the hormone cortisol that appears in stressful situations, and wanting, or not exercise is also a stressor to the body.
If one is already stressed, we don't want to add more stress.
But if exercise is done combining deep breathing, relaxing activities and calmly, exercise will contribute to anxiety reduction.
Think about yoga, pilates, meditation, walking and water activities.
So exercise is not a panacea and should only be prescribed by a professional.
Above all, listen to your intuition and sometimes the best thing is to stop everything, take a holiday and a good sleep.
