Most people tend to divide fitness into this or that.
Exercise is exercise.
PERIOD.
Any form of movement raises one’s heart rate.
Any form.
So when someone is doing yoga , pilates and any form of movement that is also a cardiovascular exercise.
Then one exercise can be divided into aerobic and anaerobic.
Basically, in a very simplistic way when an exercise gets very hard the body moves from aerobic to anaerobic.
Anaerobic is that kind of exercise that you can not sustain for more than a minute without agony.
So next time someone asks you do you do cardio?
You always , always answer, YES.
The old paradox of fitness.
