The first one that I was exposed to, even as a child, was the macrobiotic diet.
Ok, now you know that I am not that young anymore.
So the macrobiotic is a dietary philosophy, created by George Ohsawa.
The whole idea was that a simple diet based on unprocessed foods could improve one's diet and lifestyle.
There were some major great things like the talk about unprocessed foods, protecting the environment and longevity.
There were also some significant flaws like the excess of sodium and the lack of water intake.
Like anything, balance is key and I don’t think this diet is balanced.
