There are three kinds of a sauna.
The first one is the steam sauna, basically a room full of steam in the air.
The steam sauna is excellent for detoxication, but people with a lack of hydration, skin problems like melasma should avoid it.
The second kind is the dry sauna.
The dry sauna is a hot room. This is the one where you sweat like crazy.
In my opinion, this one is not good because it dehydrates the body too much.
I would avoid it.
The third kind is the infrared sauna.
This is the best one. It uses LED lights that can heal your tissues and help with detoxification.
I highly recommend it.
So next time you see a sauna look for the infrared kind.
